Ongoing work on automated classification of multi-party conversational speech in naturalistic home environments. Building speaker diarisation pipelines in PyTorch and TensorFlow on a large speech corpus. First author on an abstract accepted to ICIS 2026.

WithHajara-Yasmin Isa (project lead)
Littafin Fasaha is an interactive computer science learning platform for Hausa speakers, with the goal of extending to other underrepresented African languages. The aim is to make programming education accessible to learners who hit a language wall with existing English-only resources.
I contribute to LLM fine-tuning and frontend development. We're currently in the second phase, building out the platform itself.

Working on a project titled Understanding Reading Development through Visual and Linguistic Factors using Deep Learning Transformers. We're examining whether deep learning architectures (LSTMs, transformer-based models like BERT) can model and predict the eye movements of teens and adults from visual and linguistic features of text.
